At ENERGIEHAUS we are consultants in energy efficiency and renewable energies in buildings. We collaborate with multilateral entities in the adaptation of energy efficiency standards in different regions of the world, highlighting our membership as founding partners of the Latin American Passivhaus Institute, ILAPH.
Our activity in the world
In 2008, ENERGIEHAUS started its international activity as a partner of the RenovEnergie project, led by Ademe, the French ecological transition agency. Since then, we have been involved in pioneering energy efficiency projects all over the world, including our current participation in several NAMA projects in Mexico (EcoCasa Renta, LAIF, Nama Facility, DKTI…).

Projects
México – DKTI
Energy consultancy in the framework of the DKTI project, led by the German international cooperation agency GIZ.
Energy consultancy in the framework of the DKTI project, led by the German international cooperation agency GIZ, Energiehaus is supervising the technical design of pilot projects for the energy refurbishment of 30 existing social housing units in Mexicali and Hermosillo (Mexico), including cost-benefit analysis of pilot technical measures and definition of technical measure packages.
In addition, Energiehaus performs dynamic hygrothermal analysis for the feasibility study of energy saving measures in hot and humid climates. In the framework of this project, Energiehaus organises and carries out a ‘Tradesperson’ technical training course for those involved in the design and implementation of the energy rehabilitation in Mexicali and Hermosillo.
NAMA-Facility
Energiehaus, technical advisor in the NAMA-Facility project, led by the GOPA Group.
The objective is to facilitate the progressive incorporation of small and medium-sized developers into the low-carbon housing market by removing investment barriers and improving access to sources of financing for the construction of this type of housing. The aim is to finance the construction of 8,000 energy-efficient homes that will reduce an estimated 400,000 tonnes of CO2 over their lifetime. The aim is that these homes can be purchased at a price comparable to standard homes.
NAMA-LAIF in Mexico
Technical training in the framework of the NAMA-LAIF project in Mexico:
Energiehaus provides technical training in the design phase and the subsequent implementation phase of 30 Passive Houses as part of the LAIF (Latin American Investment Fund) project in Mexico. These houses comply with the international Passivhaus standard and achieve a CO2 equivalent emissions saving of 80% compared to a conventional construction model.
Mexico - Eco-Casa Renta
NAMA-Mexico Eco Casa Rent Project:
Energiehaus is an energy auditor for new construction projects for rent, marked in the Eco-Casa Renta financing line, which is managed by the Mexican Federal Mortgage Society. The intention of this programme is to improve the energy quality of the building, with a minimum saving of 25% of GHG emissions, compared to a baseline model of conventional construction.

Energiehaus carries out Passivhaus certification audits in countries such as Colombia, Argentina and Chile:
These buildings are reference prototypes for the future building standard on this continent. China-Consultoría Passivhaus Chengdu
Energy consultancy Nearly Zero Energy Building in Chengdu/China:
This is a prefabricated concrete building with an insulated core, replacing the metal reinforcement with carbon fibre. The energy consultancy includes both the energy development of the project and the training of the local team in energy efficiency concepts.

Development of a ‘Mediterranean Passive House’ energy project for the new building of the Tunisian Ministry of Industry, promoted by the GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation). Passive strategies are optimised to simplify the active cooling system as much as possible.

Energiehaus participates as Technical Expert in this project that promotes the energy rehabilitation of educational buildings in the Mediterranean area.
MARIE
Mediterranean Building Rethinking for Energy Efficiency Improvement:
ENERGIEHAUS designs the basis of the MEDBEE-platform within the framework of the strategic project MED – MARIE with the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In order to improve market mechanisms for the implementation of energy efficiency in construction. It includes a plan to increase the awareness of the different actors in combination with high quality training.

ENERGIEHAUS is a member of this scientific committee.
This strategic MED project aims to improve the energy efficiency of low-income housing. ENERGIEHAUS evaluates the renovation projects for their consistency with the ElihMed guidelines.
RenovEnergie
ENERGIEHAUS is leading the Spanish chapter in the European RenovEnergie study on the energy renovation of residential buildings:
The project, led by the ADEME agency, aims to study the socio-economic mechanisms to promote energy-efficient housing retrofitting.
RenovEnergie identifies the mechanisms that enable a successful matching of demand and supply in the energy efficient retrofit market in the participating countries.
China-Consultoría Passivhaus Chengdu
Capacitación técnico en el marco del proyecto NAMA-LAIF en México:
Energiehaus brinda capacitación técnica en la fase de diseño y la fase posterior de ejecución de 30 Casas Pasivas en el marco del proyecto LAIF (Latin American Investment Fund) en México. Estas casas cumplen con el estándar internacional Passivhaus y consiguen un ahorro de emisiones CO2 equivalentes del 80% respecto al modelo base de construcción convencional.
